She Works His Way: Gems from the swHw Narrow Conference!

Updated: Jan 12, 2020

She Works His Way Narrow Conference

Recently, I shared a bit on the GSCC Instagram about the She Works His Way Narrow conference.

Today, I get to share all about it with you here on the GSCC blog! I'm going to break this post up in two parts- I'll share my big takeaway first and then my other top highlights from various speakers.

I pray that God uses this words to speak directly to your heart, sweet sister. Sending you love and hugs <3

Here goes!

The Big Takeaway

Narrow was really something else. I already shared on Instagram what my biggest takeaway was -- something I never expected. Essentially, the weekend culminated in an understanding of the gospel in a very visceral way. I experienced Jesus’s love unlike ever before.

On the Sunday following Narrow, I was sharing about the weekend with my husband when I felt God's presence so strongly in the room. There was a pulsating of the air, almost. It was not a suffocating presence, but a compelling invitation to be with and listen to Him. There was a bit of urgency to it. So, I got on my knees and prayed. And wrote.

Ultimately, I experienced an understanding of John 3:16 from God’s perspective. I'd experienced a glimpse of clarity and a knowing of what it was like to be in the world but not of the world.

This all connected to Narrow in that being surrounded by other sisters in Christ was SO good for the soul. It gave us a glimpse of what heaven must be like and the type of community that God has in mind for us. I experienced this enormous desire for community, this yearning. I thought about how we might be fortunate enough to experience tastes of it here and there, but will never feel that lasting pleasure until being home in heaven. The culmination of all of this simultaneously brought immense joy while also totally wrecking me (has that ever happened to you?).

Because of Narrow, I heard, felt, and knew Jesus like never before. I felt so sad for people who don’t know God. And so much sorrow for those who practice a surface level faith, and miss out on on SO much.

And, I felt compelled to share Him. As Michelle Myers (founder of She Works His Way) said, bringing others to Christ is really the ultimate good thing we can do while here on Earth.

Ok, so I know that is a LOT. In addition to all that, there are so many other a-ha moments that stand out from the conference. I could create months of blog content from Narrow! But, as mentioned, what I think I’ll do is share my other top takeaways (there are many, as you’ll see!) with you below. ; ) I pray that you enjoy, and God speaks to you too through these words! Let me know which you connect with most <3

In Christ,

Alexandra
